Hello, I am a scientist. It is extremely unlikely to get it through eyes. It has to be inhaled. Thats why the whole touching surfaces is blown out of proportion. It is family gatherings, hugging, talking to others and being around others is why it never stopped spreading.

You could definitely get it through the eyes. Its been proven that people who wear glasses get the rona less cuz they dont touch their eyes as much.

Also, masks (if used properly) mitigate a big part of what would cause it to get into your eyes (or anywhere).

In the eyes yes because it's a mucous membrane.its possible but way less likely. tears actually act as a barrier to infection by essentially washing away infectious particles. plus you've got enzymes in tears that help disrupt said particles. just dont rub your eyes. guy coughing in the room isn't likely to cause an infection through that rout. but if you repeatedly rub your eyes you're increasing the risk. --- Taarsidath-an halsaam.
