I'd think Alan Wake is probably the closest in spirit. The Fog might have made for a good survival horror game.

There was a point and click game based on The Dark Half, IIRC. I only remember reading about it, I've not played it, so no idea if it was any good.
To be fair, given his love of playing with the format of his writing (doing The Green Mile as a series of chap-books, jumping straight on the eBook wave, initially planning Cycle of the Werewolf as a fricking calendar), I'm a little surprised that he hasn't at least flirted with the idea of collaborating on a visual novel. --- ... Its been a long time since I read the dark half so I fully might be thinking of a different book from around the time but Im fairly certain there is a really graphic depiction of someone getting their throat slit in it that massively grossed me out. Its still the most freaky death method to me
