So that covers everything from techno, house and trance, to future bass, drum and bass, and dance-pop (there's far more, but we'd be here all day trying to list them all). It's also worth pointing out that these genres were under "Electronic Music" before the term EDM was popularized. I think the problem though, is that if people don't know the specific subgenre, they'll just call it EDM. There are songs that I never would have found it it stopped simply at EDM or Electronic. You can easily make techno music that isn't meant for dancing at all Techno just being itself another word for "Electronic" where in you've got a genre where the instruments exist only as a digitally synthesized sound.
