I been seeing alot of ignorant people around me specially, they think Vaccine= Cure.....wtf?, "oh I got vaccinated I can hug you" WTF???

CDC have to make a bigger effort to explain this, I feel they are just saying go get vaccinated like is a Cure

The vaccine, from what I understand, mainly protects the vaccinated from getting seriously ill. They can still be a carrier.

they're doing some studies and it looks promising, but its not a sure thing so of course Fauci isn't gonna flat out say go for it.

He doesn't eat at restaurants, but picks up take out

He's not flying yet

So, while getting vaccinated provides a degree of protection, it doesn't mean that you can abandon public health measures in public, like wearing a mask or maintaining social distance.

He could be doing a lot more by fall
Fauci said that if there's an umbrella of herd immunity by the fall, "we really will be approaching normal," meaning people could safely dine indoors, go to the theater or movies and attend indoor sporting events.

Maybe, but they cant say that for sure right now. The viral load may be too low to actually spread effectively. They are in the process of some studies to answer that question.

I just got my 2nd shot a few days ago. I was always under the impression that I wasn't immune to covid, just that I may not die from it now. Not a cure.

Lots of people I know are up for vaccination soon and everyone's planning parties and trips and shit. I tried telling some of them that's not how this works and instead of taking in the message and acting accordingly, I'm getting shit about it being pointless or part of some nefarious scheme using the vaccine as a front. I just threw my hands up and figured it's best to let them get it and be dumb than be dumb without it. I dunno.
