A lot of times, unfortunately, abducted kids never are found, but in this case, a cop's gut instinct helped him find this missing girl. What a video.

What I don't get are the people who think that if there are no police, then there'd be no crimes because they believe that police are the causes of crimes. So to them I ask: what the fuck do the police have to do with child molesters/child abductors? How would not having police around stop that?

The sad reality is positions with authority is always gonna attract power hungry ass hats. Those power hungry asshats rise in ranks and make it hard if not impossible for the good ones to throw the shitty ones under the bus when they deserve it.

@mooreandrew58 Oh I get all that, and I agree. I'm actually someone who is for Black Lives Matter and for police reform. But I'm talking about those people on here who believe that if there were no cops, then there'd be no crime at all. They believe that police are the cause of all crimes.

Yeah what I meant to point out ia there is no easy fix. Dismantle the police will cause chaos. But changing them from within will be hard and time consuming. There is no overnight fix. Just more stories like this come to light. Faith needs to be restored in the police some as long as they have a shit ton of people angry at them its gonna keep them jumpy and quick to retaliate at any perceived threat.

Officers vow to protect and serve but we (im a different kinda officer but it still applies) are humans that feel fear and want to go home alive our self.

I digress im happy to see some positivity for once. Tired of all those jokers that make the whole group suffer.

Personally I think the answer is more money and reorganizing new units specifically dedicated to separate communities. Police officers should know me and I should know them.

That could help if possible. In prison it becomes far easier to deal with inmates if im assigned to a dorm on a long term rather than bouncing around every day. They learn what I rules i enforce and what I use my discretion to ignore. I learn their behaviors and notice when something is off with them. Then there is just the simple fact small talk will happen and it humanizes both me to them and them to me.

It unfortunately probably will not work as well in big cities with high population density aa it would in lower population areas.
