Yeah, you'd think after the last dozens got no views and no positive feedback they'd learn no ones want to see developers happy to see people do speed runs and break/glitch various parts of the game.

The honest answer is that they want speedrunning to be another category in e-sports so they can market the events.

??? I just checked their last 12 on YouTube and besides the Axiom Verge one which posted 2 days ago and has 50k views, it looks like the other videos range between 250k-800k. Hades being an outlier so far at 1.6m views.

So yeah, they're pretty popular with the IGN community.

The Crash 4 demo speed run is pretty hilarious lol. They did a 2nd version with the whole game and it's equally hilarious but it's 52 minutes long.
