So this person is not my partner or anything although there is a romantic interest on my side and a few weeks ago she did offer to visit me but I declined because of the pandemic. Anyway, we're still becoming good friends and have been for about two months now. Today her car broke down and it's going to cost over 4000 dollars to repair and everyone in this discord server made everything worse by annoying her with dumb and pointless advice. She uses the car to get to campus and for other basic things like shopping. I wasn't there when people were annoying her so I only found out about this after by texting. I told her most people in that server think they have a solution to everything and are pretty annoying. I left it at that for now to end the conversation because she clearly wants space but I'm open to suggestions on what to say or do next after that. I'm genuinely curious what this board will come up with. Maybe one of you will actually have something really good to say

I had 7 of the teachers offer to come in during the Easter Break just to keep me company because they knew I get lonely. 1 of them lives 3 hours away. 2 of them live 90 minutes away. One of them fucking asked if I wanted to stay at her place over the break so I'd have someone to talk to after work.

Where did I ever give the impression she was visiting to fuck? I'm not denying people do kind things out of the good in their hearts. It's frustrating that you keep projecting something on me and don't want to believe me at face value when I say we do have some kind of dynamic that is somewhere between friendship and dating

It was just meant to be a topic wondering what you would say to someone after giving them space that's going to some pretty rough car troubles.
