The point isn't to appeal to more people. The point is to divide and conquer, as the Big Oil billionaire machine has done for decades (and for thousands of years when it was Royalty and Divinity and Pharaoh and whatever other bullshit existed).

We must oust the corrupting influence of the love for money out of society. We can use technology to automate away Maslow's hierarchy of needs for the entire planet if we really try. In under 50 years lol.

This is a pipe dream due to roughly half the population thinking you're a pussy if you want people taken care of.
It's hard to free fools from the chains they revere, etc

Shit wouldn't even be a good thing at this point anyway, it'd actually be horrendous unless we also solved the multiple environmental crises we face just from the carnage we're doing with our current level of productivity.
