I don't see the argument for changing the monetization scheme, though. If anything, removing the cut from in-app purchases increases incentive for micro-transactions.
Epic has only really been arguing about the cuts apple and google take on their stores. Epic has no reason not to just move to android and make their app sideload-only if they had any argument other than their own greed.
whether apple opens up their device to side loading should be their decision. Customers can buy the competitors device if sideloading is a feature they desire.
