New Mexico, not Mexico

Once, I spent a whole entire month in New Mexico during a training exercise, so I guess technically speaking I lived in New Mexico for a month.

Also spent a few days in ABQ.

Wish I could live there. Family lives in Deming. Visited ABQ, Mesilla, T&C and Cloud croft on the way to Roswell. Very beautiful!

Four years ago, I did an interview in Santa Fe for an osteopathic fitness trainer position after college. I flew all the way to Denver and then drove five hours down through snow in January in a rented Jeep Compass. I had requested a mid-size car which is apparently Jeep-sized.

I stayed the night and the following day I met the guy who owned the business and ran all the classes. It was the most intense, in-depth interview I've had to this day after even working in fortune 500 companies.

Ultimately, he wanted a business partner and a mentee to whom he could one day sell the business. It was too much for me to commit toward because I had other dreams. Frankly, he wasn't paying much early on but he did show me a five year plan and scale for salary. I told him I could give him two years and he said thanks for the interview.

I knew that he wouldn't offer me the job after that. I drove around for a bit and viewed the rolling hills sparkling with icy gravel in the distance. There wasn't much to do seeing as it was cold as hell so I chilled in my hotel room. It was huge and only cost 50 dollars a night. Naturally, I hit up Tinder.

I don't know if it was the added moxie from having a nice hotel room and a car but I swiped and spit game with reckless abandon. I matched with a cutie and set up a date at a local bar. She was an au pair from Austria, 21, blonde bombshell. Everyone says that they always look better in their pictures, but in my experience it's 50-50. She was part of the 50 that looked better in person.

She was kind of sad because her visa was running out. She had this beautiful rolling quasi-British accent and asked me if I could sponsor her. I told her I didn't have the money. Meanwhile, she had two pints, which is far more than any other girl I've been on a date with. After an hour or so I invited her back and she accepted.

She pushed the action fast back at the hotel room. Her body was porn-star esque, by far the sexist woman I've been with. I was so nervous I couldn't fuck her despite wanting nothing more than to do that. I finger popped her to her satisfaction and she eventually let me finish on her. She was shocked at how much fluid I produced and was exceedingly polite despite me plastering her. She asked me for a towel and said she was going to go home to shower because she was afraid she would get pregnant from the sheer volume.

She went her way and I drove back to the Avis in Denver before meeting a buddy. We smoked and watched Stranger Things all week and I have never returned to either area since.

That is the one time I've been to New Mexico.

Not much beyond Four Corners. I think we probably drove east from the north rim of the Grand Canyon then crossed into New Mexico long enough to get to Utah and/or Colorado via the monument.
