It's not hard at all. Most of your deaths in the game could probably be chalked up to bullshit. The enemies tend to have a homing aspect to their attacks that defy what you'd expect.

I don't touch Soulsborne games if I can help it but I completed it easily.

It definitely takes inspiration from it, but it's not very well-made compared to FromSoft games. your deaths are going to come from the game's combat not being as tight as you want it to be and otherwise just dumb design. Play on easy

Depends on your difficulty.

Very hard was killing me a bunch but the thing that really killed me were the load times. On base PS4 it is positively atrocious, enough that each death made me not want to play it more and more.
