water isn't THAT noisy... it should be little more than a mild hiss since you only need to run the water a tiny amount so that it continues to drip.. if the drip stops the pipe is too cold so turn it up so that it drips again.

By drip I mean about one bead of water per second.

Yeah, it really shouldn't be that noisy. I guess you could throw a wash cloth down in the sink to stop some of the noise from the drip.

You dont run it on full blast. Just like a very small amount... Shouldnt be too noisy...
