Scott Sifton is running against "the face" in 2022. Never lived in Missouri, but as someone who's spent most of his life in the South, Roy is horrible. Marsha Blackburn is loud, but other than Ted Cruz I see no one as dead weight on the Senate as Roy.

Who wants Roy Blunt to lose?

In other political news, Dems have good pickup chances in Ohio and PA during the midterms.

I'm a Missourian who will vote for basically any dem over Blunt, but I will say to Blunt's credit, when i call his office, I get a prompt reply and on one occasion actually received a call from him personally. I expressed my support for legislation he opposed, he was nice, and he thanked me for being engaged and that was that. As opposed to Hawley's office who sends me to robo-answer and I never get a reply.

So basically Blunt did attempt to act like he cares, which is more than most senate Republicans.

So I have to ask other Democrats and Independents, which is more important?
1) Getting another D in the Senate?
2) Having an effective Senator, no matter what their party is?

Still waiting for a woman, Black, Hispanic, Asian, or American Indian/Indigenous person to announce. Give this guy running against Blunt an opponent atleast.

It's Missouri dude, we literally just elected our first black woman to the house. Good luck trying to get a non-white person in Blunt's district to win a primary, let alone a general election.

@Doom_Art I'd love for Kander to run but I think he is more likely to get involved in KC politics for the time being.

Blunt is a Senator, the entire state is his district.

And a Black Pastor just got elected to U.S. Senate in Georgia (FUCKING GEORGIA. No shit!) so times are a changin'.

Missouri politics are so terrible that nobody cares anymore. That plumber guy from Kansas was far more interesting than the cardboard cutouts we get on this side of the state line.

I heard Ohio was turning red but I think since we had the Democrat who dropped the H bomb 2x to end WW2, we can get a Democrat back in office.

2022 is the year Democrats take back a lot, you wait and see.

Wow. Every last GOP politician can fuck off but that's surprising.

I had a spat a while back with someone who griped at me for not contacting my senators (Cruz and Cornyn) because things would never change if we're silent. I had to explain that it was pointless because back when I used to, not only did I get boilerplate responses, I got boilerplate responses for people who agree with them. There was no acknowledgement whatsoever that I was voicing dissatisfaction.

Is Cruz coming up for re-elect in 2014?
