Cockney rhyming slang.
People.from.London, born within a certain area are cockneys. Rhyming slang has spread to most of England but not often used by most. Popular ones I've heard out of London. China - China Plate - Mate which is a friend. Apples and pears - Stairs. Have a butchers - butchers hook - have a butchers hook - have a look. In the UK, Irish people come over and live in mobile homes, travel about the place doing manual jobs for cash. They have a bad reputation because some of them are thieves and some leave places they park up in a right mess.
