With Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios already on the books, Disney says it cannot afford a third internal animation studio.
But I thought Disney was swimming in the dough.

Justified >_>

Their track record is okay.

I'd say their best movies are Ice Age (first one), Rio, and The Peanuts Movie.

Spies in Disguise was alright, too, but mostly forgettable.

Apparently Disney is continuing with the Ice Age TV series currently in production.

I haven't actually seen any of their films, but man I feel for those people losing their jobs. The mouse gives and the mouse takes away.

You've never heard of the Ice Age films? They were all over the place once upon a time.

Well, it did say that Disney is working to get those workers positions within their existing animation studios, so there's that.

Their movies were average but yeah it's pretty sad that Disney basically bought out and closed down their competition.

Another reason why that Disney-Fox sale should have never gone through.

I loved the first Ice Age movie. One of the better animated movies of the 2000s

sequels were bad though

The only other entity that was in the running to purchase them was Comcast. In that regard, Disney was still the better option between the two.

And they didn't just up and buy their competition. 20th Century Fox failed, and had to sell their assets. It wasn't just because they wanted the Marvel and Alien/Predator properties, they were one of the few media companies with enough money to afford it.
