damn, RIP.

my mom or one of my aunts used to be her fan.

anyway, I think that drug dealers, manufacturers (of illegal stuff), distributors, etc. should be persecuted, but not the users.

I've seen people say to decriminalize drug use but no one says dealing should be legal

Reminds me of what the philippines president said about drugs, its users, addicts, dealers.

Hes on a crusade that killed drug dealers. He gave his police and military judge jury executioner rights on people suspected of drugs. I think he said addicts and users are subhuman and drug dealers are the worst in the world. Its like what he 1st said when he became president or something. His zero tolerance on drugs has consequences for human rights violations.

What

Decriminalization isn't legalization. And under Decriminalization dealing would remain illegal.

Weed is fully legal in my state. Dealing and intent to distribute without license... still illegal. People who advocate for decriminalization of all drugs are not advocating for dealing to be legal. If caught using, not a crime. If caught distributing, still a crime. That's the decriminalize everything ideology and I don't know of anyone advocating otherwise (I'm sure some people do, like actual dealers, but they are outliers and that's a silly position to take)

Yeah this. Decriminalization wouldn't mean that heroin and lsd and meth etc. dispensaries would start popping up. It just means that if you are caught under the influence, you won't be arrested and if you are caught possessing a small amount, you may be fined, it make be confiscated, you may have to go to detox or rehab or ordered to go to meetings, stuff like that, but you aren't charged with a crime. Anything else you're doing like driving under the influence or tresspassing or assault would still be subject to arrest and charges as is the case with alcohol and weed now.

Weed dealers even in legal states are subject to same penalties as before, just as anyone selling alcohol without a license is subject to penalties.
