Universal healthcare ends up being cheaper for tax payers because people will be going to the doctors for small things instead of waiting until they need to go to ER then failing to pay the bill that will be charged to taxpayers when government has to subsidize hospitals

that's because your country is run by people who would never have a need to use public healthcare. Most countries are run by the rich, but yours is run by the super-rich. They'd be going to private clinics anyways. They literally cannot relate to someone who may use public healthcare. they become mythical figures to these ultra-rich politicians. Problems ignored, accusations of freeloading (demonizing), etc.

I know but people talk about term limits for politicians but its hard for new challengers to unseat the sitting politicians

Sure, but using taxpayer dollars to subsidize for profit businesses is how a capitalist country should operate.

The government has never provided anything cheaper than a free market does. Even if they somehow operated as efficiently they still have to tack on the cost of their overhead on top.

But socialism! What's more important here, helping people in need or letting the rich get richer?

^Nor are they better either. So not only are citizens paying extra for crappy healthcare but will be reliant on jobs still that cover it as well just so they can utilize the private institutes and avoid the public's options whenever possible.

Hospitals are giving out five and six figure bills that people cannot pay for. We need to socialize medicine because people cant afford these unfair and unfeasible fees. It was one thing when they only wanted a few hundred dollars for a serious ER visit, but I cant pay you three years of salary for a plaster cast. We have to socialize it because of the greed that hospitals and insurance companies show.
