Palu, Roy/Chrom are solid picks. Palu is a very simple and easy to learn character. She gets by really well with her overall fantastic aerials and has some decent zoning in auto retical and explosive flame. Roy and Chrom are really fast rushdown characters that kinda get up in your face and bully you. I think Roy is a bit better than Chrom but if you can play one youll probably be comfortable with the other. In terms of getting better generally, playing the game more is an obvious one.
