He had been on the forefront of his defense and helped raise money from conservatives to post his 2 million dollar bail back in November but now his supporters, FreeKyleUSA said he fired Pierce all of a sudden. Pierce confirmed it tweeting he fought "every fibre" of his being for him The FreeKyleUSA account said Pierce opposed the idea of his supporters wanting to set up a trust for the teen although it's unclear why as they said they also cut ties with him. They said "When we begin raising funds again, john pierce has no involvement and is not connected in any way to the funds being raised. John does not speak for Kyle anymore" Pierce removed himself already after prosecutors said they found significant financial difficulties and shouldn't be allowed to raise money for him but still remained his lawyer Now they hired Robert Barnes who confirmed to be his new lawyer stating "Happy to join #KyleRittenhoues team. Kid's innocent and everybody knows it.
