Movie 2
Open with Rita sending new monsters to attack earth.
Credits montage of various ranger battles.
Introduce Tommy as new kid. Expelled from previous school due to fighting.
Putties attack Tommy. Tommy puts up good fight, but is abducted.
Rita seduces Tommy to the dark side.
Green and Rita attack.
Power Rangers defeated.
Power Rangers learn about the enemy and defeat green.
Goldar, Scorpina, and Finster appear, but die in this film.

Movie 3
Open with Angel grove being overrun by monsters. Green has joined the rangers.
Megazord and Dragonzord battle giant enemies as Green helps evacuate civilians on the putty infested streets. Scene ends with Green failing to save earthlings. Turns out to be a training exercise.
Green is haunted by evil deeds he commited while working for Rita.
Lord Zedd arrives on the moon pissed off at Rita's failure. Launches global invasion (monsters include Rito, Vile, and Z Putties)
Command Center is destroyed. Zords are rekt.
Rangers finally defeat Zedd after fighting the greatest battle of their lives. Tommy loses his powers in the process.
Easter egg cameos by future Zeo Rangers Rocky, Adam, Aisha, and Kat throughout film.

Movie 4 and beyond
Introduce concept of multiple Power Ranger teams starting with Zeo or Alien Rangers. Adapt Divatox and Machine Empire etc storylines

I think it would be better if Lord Zedd showed up at the end of movie 2, setting him up as the main antagonist of movie 3.

Maybe foreshadow in part 2, but I'm trying to keep the movies as stand-alone as possible. Credits scenes are okay.

First film about the original rangers and their first fight. Tommy Credits scene.

Second films picks up after the rangers are experienced, but meet their match in the form of new ranger. Zedd credits scene.

Third film expands the villains and is jam packed with end of trilogy moments. Zeo Crystal credits scene.

Fourth film is the one where movies would start becoming MCU like I suppose

You'd need the original actors from the show for it to be good and for the fans to watch it.

Have the originals pass the torch to new rangers who become the Zeo Rangers before a team up to defeat the bad guys.

I think that follows the show too beat for beat.

I think it would be cool if there wasnt a long drawn out origin for once.

Have an established Power Rangers team already. (Leaves room for a prequel then too!)

Do something cool like bait Rita and Zedd as the villains but then have them taken out with a new movie villain that becomes the main antagonist for the series. Allows them to have new stories

Rita and Zedd are kinda jobbers and have never really been a true threat

Well, Thuy Trang (Trini) is dead, and IDK if Jason David Frank (Tommy) will want to work with Austin St John (Jason), since apparently they had some beef back when they were on the show together, and JDF still hasn't gotten over it. Plus David Yost (Billy) may not want to have much to do with PR, considering how the staff harassed him over being gay (then again, the staff would be completely different on this hypothetical)

It would have to be a remake at the point, but I've always toyed with ideas for a sequel story where the original rangers are older.

I def envisioned the trilogy as a contemporary remake. The story is quite simple, but I think it can be told again to great affect.

I'm sure they would come back for a big sequel, but idk about remake.

I remember writing out a reboot plot awhile back, I wonder if I still have it >_>

Well it is canon that the MMPR (and other old teams) rangers somehow got their powers back and have been doing their own missions

I couldn't find my old synopsis, but I think it works better as tv series, maybe 20 episodes each. Maybe they refer to themselves as Squadrons instead of Power Rangers as a reference to Sentai. >_>

Series 1 - MMPR
Rita of Bandora is freed by astronauts. She immediately attacks Earth with King Sphinx. While the attack is happening, the OG team is trying to evacuate and protect people, each of them ends up in a certain death scenario as putties swarm the city. Before imminent death, they're warped to the command center and given their powers. They return to Angel Grove and manage to defeat King Sphinx. King Sphinx dies. The Power Rangers are now an urban legend. The first quarter of season 1 is character development. Then Tommy shows up and we do the Green Ranger saga. After Tommy joins the team we introduce Zedd. Zedd dominates the Rangers and informs them that as long as they have the green candle, it will only be a matter of time until Tommy's death.
The last arc is Island of Illusions with Zedd trying to call down Serpentera. The Rangers return from the Island of Illusions and split into two, Zack leading Trini, Kimberly, and Billy in the Megazords against the combined attack of Mutitus and Scorpina. Tommy and Jason go to to Rita's moonbase and battle Goldar and Zedd as Rita does her best to oversee the two battles. Tommy and Jason manage to eject Goldar and Rita(with the green candle) from the base leaving the two of them to fight Zedd. Zedd manages to overcome the two Rangers as they set up a series of explosives in the base. Unable to overpower Zedd, Tommy decides to sacrifice himself. Jason objects, but Tommy knocks Jason out and has Zordon warp Jason out as he prevents Zedd from escaping. Series 1 ends with the Rangers having stopped Zedd, but losing Tommy.

The movie could have Rocky,Adam and Aisha along with Kimberly and Tommy. A movie with the OG's needs to be made, nows the time for it to happen. Here's my idea:
The original movie is now canon and the new movie could be a direct sequel to that, it picks up 25 years later with the og's coming back to help a new cast of rangers.

I know it's sounds kinda silly but ya know the fans of the franchise would see it.
