Charge the perpetrator to the fullest extent under the law. Maybe also launch an internal investigation to see if the agents' superiors messed up somewhere

Damn. Yet another reminder that goes to show that you can never be too careful. Especially as a cop. I'm actually kind of surprised that law enforcement doesn't have safety protocol when approaching a suspect's property to notify them that they have a search warrant. If they did the two victims would be alive today.
