They should only make the change effective if youre playing a female Shepard.

Being focused on the prize despite the context of the conversation is an immersive factor in experiencing male Shepards psychology. Its a phenomenon known to the scientists of the galaxy as the Ass Effect and removing that perspective is basically desexualizing the male Shepard

Nothing inherently wrong with ass shots; male or female. But when they're awkward and random in specific scenes is a whole different thing. The people that are working on this are making the concious decision to tweak the angles so that it's more coherent to what's actually happening on screen. Because having a butt on screen during integral dialogue sequences that have nothing to do with sexuality at all is just jarring, be it a man or a woman's.

But you didn't. Because you can't. We have male ass shots all over the place, including those dramatic emotional scenes, and we don't criticize them because of different standards. A male ass is a part of the anatomy. A female ass is an objectified part of the body.

There was no reason to change this. It's censorship for the sake of censorship. They're trying to win brownie points. Nobody is going to watch this scene and think, "This is so much more dramatic now that we don't have that annoying ass."

Who's to say they won't tweak that either? If it's jarring and clashes with the context of the scene, man or woman, then I'm all for it. Miranda was simply used as an example for how they want to go about doing it. Not sure why you automatically jumped to the conclusion that this will only apply to female characters.

Because it's so hard to believe that this was a conscious decision to improve the weight of some scenes and nothing more.
