He's 28. I'm 7 years older. We grew up together. But now he's a bum. He wasn't always like that. As a kid he was smart, playful, polite, cheerful, shy. We loved playing video games together. During his teenage years he wanted to be a basketball player (he's 6 feet tall). So he played ball for a few years, but that didn't go anywhere. After that he wanted to be a doctor and went to college. Welp, that didn't go anywhere. He started hanging out with the wrong kind of dudes. Thugs. Let himself get negatively influenced. So he dropped out of college and started selling weed. And that's where he is now. He's never had a real job. He moved out of his parents house a few years ago and is leaving with dudes in some rundown house. He can't keep a girlfriend because no girl wants a guy who makes money doing something illegal. I don't even hang out with him anymore on account for my own safety. Even though I do miss him. Or rather the old him. It's a pathetic fall from grace.
