There's a limit of bitcoin so I think you'd have to assume that CE would be given bitcoins that are already in circulation like other scenarios of this type.

Such a situation is unlikely to happen and if it did, it would probably be a different CE person chosen. I would want that person to choose the everyone else option, so I will commit to that option as well to hopefully make that decision more common.

I didn't realize it'd be that much. 36k would drastically improve my life... but I don't think I could choose that for myself when I know others here are in similar situations and I could help them.

I'd pick the former, if I were on some other board with people I like and trust enough to share it with me. Telling 20-60 users "I'm gonna get you all 50 Bitcoins, but only if you each promise to send me one." would be the best scenario, but this is CE.
Gimme the 36k.
