Fallout 2 did
And the sandbox + Mad Max inspiration seems tailor made for having your own upgradable car. I mean look how Fallout 4 handled power armor, a car could work in a similar way. Imagine plowing a giant scorpion with your car or literally gatecrashing a bandit base. See if Gravyboat can mark a settlement on my map when he's face is underneath my tires. --- ^ Hey now that's completely unfair! https://imgur.com/yPw05Ob ... Copied to Clipboard!

Yeah, I can see the capitol wasteland being too congested.
With new Vegas or 4, both games had the chance to lean harder into the rebuilding of civilization vibe the older games put out. Even if it was a fast travel device built exactly along the lines of horse and wagons in skyrim it would have been cool. Allow you to travel to major destinations that you had heard of but not discovered and throw some safe storage in the trunk. Boom done, and it would have been a cool feature. --- ........the ghost in the machine... IGN: Fox, FC: 5344-2646-0982 ... Copied to Clipboard!

Yeah, I can see the capitol wasteland being too congested.Dats why it would be fun This is a wasteland. Not a city with grid streets You'd feel like a explorer or maybe a bandit and fuck up like one Maybe try to set up an ambush only to drive off a cliff to your doom or better yet, leave you now crippled while surrounded by enemies and have to crawl you're way out of it in an epic firefight on the last of your health, using what few items you have with you I'd have liked it --- ^ Hey now that's completely unfair! https://imgur.com/yPw05Ob ... A horse/bike would be cool in New Vegas to go with the cowboy motif, but I'm not sure if horses exist in Fallout. Don't know much about the lore outside of New Vegas myself.

That's a fanfiction wiki. While there's no citation, their entry on All Roads does say this: NCR troopers seen in Chance's flashback are riding horses. When asked about the horses, Chris Avellone said, "To me, that picture in the comic was an error (no one noticed it until too late)" and that "it was never my intention that there were any horses." He went on to say that "there were parts of the New Vegas design where we specifically removed the mention of horses from certain narrative points (one of Raul's stories originally referenced horses, for example, and we cut them because we didn't want to imply horses still existed) --- ...
