Can the police be trusted to not be racist?


I want to say that this depends on area, but the police are humans too and they're largely the same wherever you go. People will carry with them whatever biases they have wherever they go, and the police are no exception. With that being said, can you trust your police to not be racist?

I dont understand what reason I have not to. They dont vet for it harder than any other job while simultaneously being in a position to be way more dangerous due to it

I live in Canada, where the police (at least appear to be) much less racist.

I'm content to stick my head in the sand for now and pretend all is good here. A big part of Canadian culture is being not quite as bad as the States so we can pretend we're way better.
