I love how they took one from the Empire Strikes Back playbook and had Chief remove his helmet in a way where you cant see his head

Many would agree with you. I first played it around its release when I was about 9 or 10 years old. I was in awe of that game. The grand scope of every mission. The incredible AI. The music and the audio. I had really only played Nintendo games up until then, so Halo was a special experience at that age.

Ultimately, I think Halo 2 and 3 have the better campaigns. But those first six missions in Halo 1 is such a perfect sequence.

3 is definitely my least favorite. I enjoy it, but some of those flood levels/sections are just so annoying.

H1 is the best. I've replayed it countless times. Co-op never gets old. H2 is great too. Exploring outside the map and messing with the physics is almost a game unto itself.

The only thing I dislike from 2 co-op is "one person dies, reload from checkpoint."

It ruined my favorite kamikaze tactic, where one guy just goes sprinting into a group with a plasma grenade stuck to the back of his head.

The level design is awful in Halo 1. Some levels are the same segment copy pasted 5 times and another later level is basically an earlier level mirrored.

The library gets a lot of hate but the big open rooms look epic.

2 > 3 > 4 > 1 > 5

I only like two Flood levels in all of Halo.
Halo 2's High Charity and Halo 3's Floodgate.

Any level with the Flood as at least one of the primary enemies should be considered a Flood level. Otherwise, you couldn't really consider High Charity to be one either, since you fight a ton of Covenant in that one.

Besides, the Flood are the primary enemy faction in Halo anyway. The Sentinels you fight are more of a secondary enemy.

Ah, you raise a good point. Also, thinking more heavily on it, I guess those aren't the only Flood levels I like. Mainly I just hate The Library and Cortana lol
