It's not that they're loyal, it's that they're desperate to keep making the paycheck so they don't lose their home. They have quotas for that useless shit, and if they don't hit them, they get canned.

Ive never liked them due to their rationale that they use for selling new games that have been opened and used by their employees. If the seal is broken, it aint new.

Imagine being upset at an employee for simply doing their job? Do you get upset when waitresses/waiters ask to take your order too?

Mixed feelings, but overall yeah. The local one where I went to college had amazing employees.

No never had good experiences there. I was always asked if the game I was buying was for my brother or boyfriend, they always seemed reluctant to help me, then the whole trying to make me buy extra shit I dont need, etc. I just buy my games on Amazon now.

There was one that used to be close to me that was actually really cool. It felt like a retro/independent game store hangout, and the employees would actually talk about games and give recommendations for obscure stuff. They weren't even strict about signing you up for things.

It really felt like it was franchise-owned instead of corporate, but Gamestop doesn't even have a franchise program. But other than that one, I've had more enjoyment browsing the stores than I've had dealing with them.

They are okay with me. Have gotten 100+ games in the last two years with minimal problems and very low cost. The only thing they did I didn't like was selling me an opened copy of Nioh as new.

They are fine. I typically just go to Walmart to buy video games but Gamestop will often have a better supply of more niche games or have more stock of new releases.

Near where I live there is a Gamestop in a mall and a Gamestop across the street from the mall so between the two of them I can typically find what I need without much hassle.

This is a hard question to answer

From my experiences, I go there to buy a game and that's it. Never had to deal with her customer service or anything like that.

However I've done a lot of research on gamestop and I know they're a shitty company. So I'm inclined to answer no. but it's hard to answer now when I personally have not had a bad experience, just an average run of the mill experience.

I like them overall.

Sure, they have some pretty dumb practices like gutting a new game case and trying to sell it as new if its the last one, and they are crap to their employees about quotas etc (thats why I had a very short run there 15ish years ago, wasn't going to overly hassle customers).

But they'd have some good sales on new stuff and lots of B2G1 type sales on used stuff pretty frequently. A lot of the non-game stuff a lot of people complained about, but I've picked up some neat shirts and weird trinkets over the years. The hundreds of times I've been there I think I had an overly pushy sales rep ONCE. Maybe I'm lucky but I didn't get the constantly bad experiences most people talk about. Lots of trade-in specials, too. As long as you weren't trading in an 8 year old Madden game it was usually half decent (especially when they'd run bonus credit which they did often). And far as I know, no one was FORCED to trade in games there. If you don't like what they offer you can try to offload it somewhere else.

RadioShack is a company that has went downhill tremendously over the last few years. That's all I know about it. Did they have bad management as well?

No, I only buy from them if I have no other choice these days. I've always hated them selling open games as new, and I'm not a fan of paying shipping where I can get free shipping elsewhere.

The company at large? No more or less than I like any corporation. One of my friends runs the local GS, though, and it's a good store, was before she got it.
