The only things XCX is best at are the sidequests and visuals. And the movement I guess, but it was pretty good in the original XC too. Othwerwise XC (or XC:DE) is hands down the best Xenoblade game.

Nahh, the soundtrack is great, but it is DOGSHIT compared to either Xenoblade 1 or 2

It's not even as good as Xenosaga 2

Literaly Monolithsoft's worst game by a LARGE margin. A Xeno game with that atrocity of a plot automatically puts it underneath everything else.

Xenoblade 1 and Xenoblade X are both great in their own ways.

Both are also better than Xenoblade 2.

And we definitely need a Switch port or sequel of X. Badly.

This is a controversial opinion, but I disagree.

1. The concept of the XC world is hard to beat.
2. The sense of wonder that XC provides is better, mainly because in XCX they show you the world map up front. You can look in any direction and kind of know what's out there. XC has the fog of war style map that lets you chart the boundaries of each area. And you could look at the Bionis and Mechonis and wonder about what sort of areas lied ahead.
3. The caves in XCX feel like they could have been randomly generated.

XCX does have better beasts and visuals for the world though

I've only played the Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii and I loved it, but from what I've read I think I would enjoy XCX more. I've actually had it sitting on my shelf for maybe over a year and haven't started it because it's so daunting (I played XC for over 100 hours and I hardly have the patience for long RPGs anymore) but I do want to get around to it eventually.

The story has tons of potential though, so if they ever make a sequel with a better story focus, we're in for a treat.

X is a beautiful, fantastic open world game with absolutely no story to speak of. And considering xeno is a series people play for the story, it's no surprise it flopped horribly.

With how Takahashi wrote the story during pre-production, it pretty much might as well be.

The devs said that he wrote what seemed like an entire novel's worth of story and told the team to find ways to use different elements of the story, and intentionally left out answers to a lot of mysteries because he was "impressed by the team's ability to create side stories in the previous Xenoblade" and wanted to see what they would come up with.

...Yeah, partly didn't go so well, lol. Main story left a lot of unanswered questions but the sidequests were really good.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is my favourite game of all time, it is the game that had the biggest impression on me

Every one shits on the music but I think it's great. Sure the story is minimal but I loved the whole concept of it

It's a 10/10 game for me and my only gripe is that it hasn't been ported to the switch yet

I have a copy of the game, but haven't played it yet because I'd much rather play a Switch port. I don't feel like setting up my Wii U, lol. I'll play it someday if we never get a Switch version, but man I really hope we do.

They're all great games. It's ok to like more than one thing at a time. You don't have to like one thing and make yourself hate another.

Watch this, this'll blow your mind. I think that Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo are all good companies that each have great games on their systems! That's crazy! :O
