what i mean is, during cooking, the hot water overcomes the cell walls of vegetables and helps it all mush together into a flavorful soupthing. to what extent does shit soften when you decrease the temperature?

s*** hardens when you decrease the temperature. Brawndos got what plants crave. When s*** contracts it forces the water out of cell walls so then when you warm s*** back up it is mushy and wet.

I like to cook the soup and eat a bit the day it's made, just to make sure the flavors are right. Then I let it chill in the fridge for a day or two and reheat on the stove.
