Call me weird, but I preferred the original DKC over the other 2. I'd like to try Tropical Freeze sometime. Maybe next time it's on sale or something.

I actually replayed them all recently and while they're all very good, yes, 2 is still the best. Never played Tropical Freeze but I started Returns on Wii some years ago and gave up. It's insanely difficult.

I just ran through the series and it's soooo close. I think I have to go with Tropical Freeze. It has by far the best level design and it would probably be the clear cut favorite if we didn't play the SNES ones as kids

Man DKCR is so great on the 3DS. I'd say it's the second best in the series. Major improvement over the Wii version and it's a shame I don't think that many people played it.
