I wonder why they always are trying to block this lol. I mean the government has about 220 trillion dollars in reserve. And even if they spent it all they could just print an unlimited amount more.

I'm actually glad they are doing this now instead of lying and acting like they'll be bipartisan.

Filibuster will be gone by March at this rate.

Because it means less money for their billion dollar corporation buddies which in turn means less money in their own pockets. They dont give a fuck about the people who elected them. They work for the corporations. Republicans are corrupt scum.

Dems get credit and prove the government can function to improve lives without society collapsing.

That's a huge negative for Republicans.

Also, the arbitrary number that they caused to go up hugely will go up more and to avoid that, they gotta let people lose their homes and businesses.

It's not a good or compelling argument, but the professed downsides are that it (1) increases dependency (2) raises the debt and deficit and (3) will be going to people who aren't starving enough to 'really' need it.

It's always the same excuses, no matter what good thing they're trying to prevent.
