Also damn. This is why I friggin love leg kickers like Gaethje. It can backfire but if you get a bunch of em in unchecked it can really fuck with everything your opponent wants to do.

Yeah, hard to mount an offense when you can't put any power into your punches without your legs. I was really surprised that Connor wasn't checking those kicks at all for that long.

I don't like McGregor, but he's not a bad fighter like some make him out to be. He was a top fighter, no doubt. But Conor didn't come into this fight looking ready. Not for this Poirier, anyway. Conor seemed like his hits were landing hard, but Dustin came into the second round with confidence when he realized towards the end of the first that he could take Conor's best hits and stay standing.

Dana White looked sad. That was all in all a good night.

Yeah. Dana knows his money trains are getting away. Khabib is gonna be very hard to convince to come back and McGregor, while maybe making the company decent money still from here on out, won't be the draw he once was. After those two, there aren't really any superstars that come to mind with the same draw power.

Literally the only thing either one would come back for and also easily the biggest possible fight they can make.

That said gsp would be a tougher match than any other one you could make unless khabib decides he wants usman or Colby.

It wasnt make or break for me - but it also wasnt a loss that I can take easily. I was devasted last night and was second guessing myself all day leading up to the fight but oh well I just have to eat that loss and not go further down the hole trying to win it all back.
