I was making some spicy noodles and the handle of the pan slipped out of my hand. I think the spicyness really compounded the burn factor because good lord it may have been the most painful experience of my life, and Ive been in the hospital for some seriously painful shit. I was quite literally hopping around in agony. I thought my skin was gonna slough off.

It depends on your definition of a while but I did keep running ice water on them for a decent amount of time. Then I rubbed some cream that my roommate was using for her shingles all over everything (she gave it to me), took a bunch of ibuprofen, and drank some wine to pass out. Definitely hope the pain doesnt come back. I have some gnarly blisters, too.

Oh no worries, Im a dude, and yeah it got all over everything so I guess Im lucky. I did honestly feel like I was about to have a heart attack for a while, I even told my roommate. I was shaking all over and felt like I was losing control of my body. Thankfully the cream and the wine helped calm me down.

Thanks man, yeah, it looks a lot worse than I thought now that the blisters popped. Everything seems to be working though, for the time being at least. Hopefully it heals ok.

Its torture to wash right now though because our water heater is busted so Im washing in like 15 degree F water lol >_>

You could literally have permanent nerve damage by then.

Yeah definitely keep using cream at the very least, like neosporin or generic brand shit like that. I always do that for any open wounds anywhere. Thoughts and prayers for the recovery of your penis and testicles.

This!! Second degree burns at the least - do you feel self conscious about going? It's understandable but this is really serious

For a question... what kinda pants were you wearing when it happened? Id imagine something sweatpants or gym shorts would just make it worse, since it would absorb the water and heat.

But yeah, to echo everyone else, go get that checked out. Its one thing to let covid dictate leisurely reasons for going out, but the risk of your burns getting infected is much greater than the risk of covid at the moment.
