Tidus is an idiot, but he didn't end up telling him. If it was the FF8 cast, they would have immediately told the other person the wrong thing and caused a huge scene in the middle of a critical moment instead of waiting until afterward.

It's just so baffling to me that this is Tidus' reaction. Even if he's dumb enough to not realize that Wakka is a raging racist, which I could believe Tidus is dumb enough to note realize. What is it about Yuna's Al Bhed lineage that Tidus feels needs to be brought to Wakka's immediate attention?

The dialogue was awkward, but the meaning was clear.
"Wakka is racist against Al-bhed, don't tell him about Yuna."
It's just a warning to Tidus and exposition to the audience.
And obviously Tidus thinks is BS and Lulu calls out Wakka on his stupidity.

Tidus has no dialogue after Lulu tells him to stfu. But I just watched the scene and I can see how that is probably what was meant to be conveyed. I never considered that before.

it sounds like you're mixing it up with the scene before they even learn what happens to home where rikku is trying to make wakka promise not to tell where the island is, where wakka said that whatever the al bhed did to get on yevon's shitlist they must have deserved it
