I knew it was really funny, but I'm watching it in order for the first time. I had seen most episodes from the first 3 seasons a long time ago, but I didn't watch them in order and it was spread over a pretty long time. The world building and character arcs are really great. Dr Venture fulfills the role of a static character, but there is subtle growth. If you just tune in to a random episode, he'll act the way you expect him to, but if you binge it you can see how his behavior and reaction to others changes due to his experiences.

Yeah, it's kind of excellent. While I will miss the show, I used to watch it with my sister, and I would just get sad not watching new episodes with her. I couldn't finish Adventure Time without her.

One of my absolute favorite shows. It's nuts how much work is put into it.

There's a ton of minor throwaway lines and references to characters that end up coming up later. They're incredibly consistent

Every time I rewatch it I'm amazed at how good it is. The quality continues to be sky high too.

Extremely solid. They definitely do really well adding layers to each season to build upon the story.

To give an example of what I was talking about in the first post, the biggest change you see is after the episode where Henry Killinger comes to work for Rusty. He makes massive improvements to the operation, but it turns out he's setting Rusty up to change into a villain and JJ. After Rusty turns him down he's left naked and shook to his core. He asks Brock "Am I a bad person?" After that episode, you can tell that Rusty is really trying to do better, even though it's not something you can change overnight. His personality is mostly the same, and he gets back to his old habits, but you'll notice that he considers the moral implications of his actions a little more. He's still greedy and selfish, but he's (a little bit) more supportive and occasionally makes choices for the sake of others.

Sadly, most of the people who tune in to watch adult swim for the same few shows didn't either, which is why venture bros. is going through the cancellation but possible one last movie to wrap it up phase, =/

It actually legit annoyed me how some of my friends constantly blew off the show for years because they didn't get the jokes/thought it was boring and whatnot. Got my brother into though at least, lol.

In fairness, the fact that it had seven seasons in 15 years might have something to do with that too.
