It was for the future of the party and nothing else. And what happened to the next republican? His name was Reagan and he won a 49 state landslide GOSHDARNit I hate realizing stuff like this. And he won by a landslide because of the games they played in iran with the hostages. History just repeats itself. In 2 years republicans win the congress back.
