He was on TV for a while, then served as a Republican president during a time when partisan news (and bullshit) sources are easier to find than ever.

don't forget a major propaganda campaign to push the narrative that none of these 3 things are actually the issue, but the issue is better education, more tolerance, and less corruption.

I agree but getting rid of hate entirely is close to a pipe dream. Our country will already be leagues better after the half who grew up with piss poor morales and values die off and hate isnt as normalized.

Glorification of the (presumably) rich and powerful, has a surface level high charisma if you dont look too deeply into what he says, similar to the parody elections on TV shows where the person says one word and everyone cheers, and the two party system providing an easy way to divide people into two camps.

Trump tells the people what they want to hear. Hes an outsider of traditional politics. He ran on the platform that won nearly half the country in 2016. You think those opposed his presidency want another outsider running the country?

Its the same to those against him. People hear what they want to hear. Get enough folks listening to the same tune and its popular enough to pass. Trump 2020 didnt get enough or many voters had enough

Politics is going to get worse as the divide widens. You thought the not my president was popular? We went almost a week and the few cult protestors became felons. 2021 just got started. Who knows what happens later this month

The trouble of isolation is that you don't get exposure to a wider variety of people. That, and, to an extent, "evil", as a loose concept of bigotry, might actually be genetic. Scary thought.

Of course, the reverse is true, too. You get kids out in the sticks with properly functioning empathy, who realize how bizarre it is to be stuck in isolated, racist area.

As for something that might future domestic terrorism: A major push by Congress to get a fuckton of psychological care professionals injected into Republican areas.
