Biden would ask the Supreme Court to rule. But lets say the mob is still in DC and SOCTUS bows to them too. I mean, at this point you are in fantasy land so far because who knows what states and even military leaders would be doing at this point. It would probably be anarchy. Like movie type anarchy. But I THINK what the protestors were going for was to intimidate/scare congress into refusing to certify the election. Tossing out the states that gave the victory to Biden. Not sure if tossing Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania would be enough. I don't think anything ultimately "works" unless Trump has the military on his side. And it appears he doesn't.
If the rioters had managed to fully breach security and taken officials hostage (I'm assuming this is what would have happened. Even if some of the rioters were aimless there were more focused ones among them who would have done this) I'd imagine it would end in a standoff situation. There would eventually probably be a raid by police and a bunch of rioters and officials would probably get killed. The aftermath would blow up on Trump even harder than it has in reality and there would be pretty much no way he would stay in office and out of prison for a long time. ... Copied to Clipboard!
