I'm on Chapter 12, as I have been for a few days now. It really slows the pace of things down, first with the grind for money (I luckily had a couple high priced items I could pawn to get halfway to 3 million) and then for experience. I'd been waiting for a chance to delve into side stuff, but this is a bit much. Also I got the Majima boss fight spoiled for me, so :/

What jobs has everybody put their characters into? Obviously I've mixed and matched along the way, but right now I'm feeling good with
Ichiban: hero
Nanba: Homeless guy/Musician
Adachi: Detective/Bodyguard
Saeko: Hostess
Eri: Clerk
Joon-gi: Hitman/Host
Zhao: Chef

I can't figure out how to unlock the bathroom casino

Nanba: Homeless Guy/Fortuneteller
Eri: Dealer (Darts Airstrike is busted and you can get what I think is the second best Dealer weapon easily from the casino)

The rest are mostly the same except I kept Zhao in his default class after getting a few levels in some others.

I bought it this past week during a sale, but I haven't played it yet.

I've only heard good things, though, so I should start soon.

You just need 4 style to get in, though the door kinda blends in with the wall

I was 35 hours in before realizing I could swap party members in battle.

My final party ended up being:
Ichi (Hero)
Joon-Gi Han (Hitman)
Saeko (Idol)
Eri (Clerk)

For the endgame, I dabbled with the other jobs for each of them quite a bit and grabbed what character skills I thought were important, especially the elemental attacks. For the post-game stuff I got everyone's main job to 99 and the rest to 30, which made things comfortable enough (though still occasionally dicey).

What was your strategy for grinding those jobs for postgame? Ugh, sounds tedious.

The Kamurocho Underground has a few Invested Vagabond enemies that give you a ton of exp. Them + wearing the items that increase Job exp. made it go pretty fast. Ichi ends up lagging because he only gets the one Job exp item for Hero while you can stack them on other characters, though. What I did might've been overkill but not by that much. It's rough.

Finished the battle tower, characters are around 42-44. I got my ass handed to me by Majima at 36-37, but will I be good to go from here?

Having the level is pretty good, but more than that is properly preparing other aspects. Don't forget to have Peerless Resolve ready at all times for Ichiban, and don't forget to bring an Idol for group healing.

The lunchboxes are handy, yes.

The Chinese medicine, while expensive, can also be purchased from Yi Xing Tang in Chinatown.

How many hours have you put in?

Ended up at just under 102 after everything. The grinding wasn't really that bad, I'd alternate between getting job exp. and getting money/materials to upgrade weapons. I don't recall what level my weapons ended up being at, but they weren't maxed out. As mentioned, beyond the numbers it comes down to keeping Ichi alive with Peerless Resolve, healing (I don't wanna say having an Idol is vital, but I did use one), and having your characters able to deal all kinds of elemental damage.
