I would say that Trump supporters in general have worsened our society as a whole. Political discourse has shifted so far to the right that you have to spend time fact checking and debunking obvious falsehoods just to try to bring many conversations back to a baseline point of reality.

Trump supporters believe 100% of what Trump says 100% of the time and they spread his bullshit even when he's obviously lying.

That was it's destination even if Trump never existed.
He had very little impact on escalating what was already a flagrant mess of echo chambers, trolling, and alt account jugglers.

The way the site has been set up and handled for years is what caused most of it's current state, including this board.

Donald Trump managed to warp the perceptions of millions of people forever. Some of those people post on Current Events.

He is guilty of vandalising reality if nothing else.

I think a lot of the right wing politicians are cleverly subtle about their terrible ideas, but Trump's just so much of a blatant dumbass that anything he's says is automatically more outrageous.

It's not just gamefaqs, all news and social media seem to have recently had Trumps stupidity push left leaning people more extremely left, and consequently pushed the rights more extremely right in response.

Everyone would be more chill if everything was a little less polarised.

CE was worse before all this.

Politics has definitely invaded CE that's for sure. But I think some of it is people just not being chill. You can tell some people are a bit unhinged and take everything way too seriously.
