Do you?

Do you do something like this? Or do you wear them around?

By immediately I mean like the 5 or so minutes you might take before leaving where you put your shoes on but are moving around the house and getting ready for whatever you're doing or while you're putting away groceries or something

My ex was manic about shoes off at the front door and then slippers on for in the house. I never understood it, my shoes are comfortable, I don't need to swap my comfortable shoes for other comfortable shoes and then take those comfortable shoes off to put my other comfortable shoes on to pop out to the shop and then swap my.comfortable shoes to.other comfortable shoes when I come home.
She was the same with swapping into PJs too. Street clothes on to go out, change to PJs at home, swap back to clothes to go out, to swap back to PJs when she got.home. not so.mich of a quirk as idiocy tbh.

This.

I never understood it

For me, it's about bringing in dirt, germs, and whatever else might be on your shoes when you come in.

shoes are dirty AF. you never know what you are stepping on. we don't want to bring the germs from underneath your shoe to inside our homes. especially with carpets dudd

So you'd get up at 8, put your PJs on, at 8.30 get dressed, take kids to school for 9, come home, change into PJs, sit down for an hour, change out of PJs, into clothes, go to the shops at 11, come home at 11.30 and change into PJs, then 2.30 get changed out of PJs, go get kids at 3pm, get home at 3.30 and change into your PJs, then at 5pm change again and go to the supermarket, get home at 6 and get changed back into PJs then at bed time, take your PJs off?
That seems crazy to me? Is it fairly normal?

That's way too much effort for one day, in regards to clothes.

Though I've been wearing basically the same outfit for the past 4 years so <_<

Why aren't you sleeping in your PJs?
Why are you doing multiple trips to stores?

You have shoes you never wear outside?

That's not so weird I guess now that I think about it, I mean if I had a pair of all white Nike Cortez's or some Jordans I was trying to keep mint I'd probably do that

The really weird one is people who don't let you sit on their bed with pants on >_> yes, I was just as confused too

When that person came to my house I told them they weren't allowed to sit on my bed with pants and they got mad lol

No I never heard of 'houseshoes'

either sandals or slippers but not houseshoes >_>

houseshoes makes sense for me just because I knew kids who would wear plastic bags over their shoes and figured 'oh I guess he means that' <___________<
