I learned that even then, Walmare literally had ONE cashier open when the bots were down (and in the only section where the cigs and alcohol were kept at the register) Even at 5 AM (really slow, contrary to popular belife) The only 5 people had to stand in fucking line for 20 minutes. When the problem finally abated, only then someone said "I can help you here" Lets not also forget that their COMPUTER SYSTEM CRASHED one day and they could do nothing. --- "Er...well, y'know. Don't have to interact with a cashier I find most cashiers to be pretty chill. You have to figure they deal with people all the time, and not all are that great. Can't relate. I love being rung out and oftentimes the self checkout line is bigger than the line for the cashier.

Hard disagree on that one.
When I go to the grocery store, I'm typically dealing with anywhere from 20-30 items on me, sometimes way more than that depending on the situation. Me going through a check out line is not only making use of the cashier there but also the person doing the bagging of the groceries. The combo of those two workers plus how the groceries get put thru the belt on their way to being scanned saves a fuck-ton of time. Now for a place like Target, where I usually just go for some one-off items, yeah, it's a big help, I'll agree there. --- Fervent appearing ... Copied to Clipboard!
