Here is a topic summarizing the past few weeks or so. Today, I calmly explained to my mother that I dont like everything she says and I cant listen to it. She tends to make several racist and homophobic remarks occasionally especially as of late since some of our new neighbors are Asian. She also gives really bad advice that I dont ask for but she insists.

She said to myself and my sister Its my house and Ill say whatever I please. Since you dont like it, pack your shit and get the hell out of here. Youll coming running back when you realize how bad it is out there. Ill just be like your father and not care anymore.

She means that shell never make an effort to talk to us despite living under the same roof or shell lock me out of the house like my father used to do when my sister lived at the house if she did something to upset him.

Guess I really do need to look at apartments ASAP. Oh well. Had to leave this house eventually. Not too upset about it. I was planning on moving out anyways.

Sounds like this can only be a good thing.

many states still have eviction moratoriums. if yours has it, take your time and find the right place.

That other topic is disturbing. Every second you spend away from your parents is worth it. Take a bit of extra time if you want to do your research, but you need to get out soon.
