I love challenging, difficult games. That's why I buy Dark Souls, Nioh and the like.

I've lately been on a kick of buying games before the PS4 era so naturally I picked up Ninja Gaiden Sigma because I heard only good things about it.

Well, it turns out this game is pretty shitty. This game does not even hold a candle to Devil May Cry on the PS2. This game feels clunky, the boss battles are forgettable and overall, I'm plain ol' sick of seeing the same boring enemies. Oh yeah, and the underwater parts are stupid as hell.

I will finish this game because I'm nearing the end but I would definitely never get its sequel.

This is the one from PS3 with Rachel, missions, hard, very hard, master modes? The battles change quite a bit with different modes of difficulty and I believe that you can unlock them early game by beating the fiend at the fire. I beat the game on very hard.

Feels like a bad opinion to me. Much more smooth than say DMC1. I loved that game too though.

ng has always been second class to dmc.

if the game didnt have a ninja people would not give all its shit a pass.

I just didn't like that Sigma took away the best spot for grinding yellow essence that was in the XB Gaiden.

Which spot was that?

My spot was bug room endurance area. A good 5-10 mins = Max Essense

2 was much better imo, never played 3

I usually did the first room as you enter the sewer. You can kill one or two of the bats then charge attack to kill every other bat in the room. With the accessory to increase essence it was pretty quick, you could exit and re-enter and do it again all day long. Sigma stopped the respawning in that room.
