Is it nearly a total loss of taste?

Well, I didn't get loss of taste, but I did get loss of smell.

NOTHING smells like anything. Vinegar especially, it hurt my nostrils because it's fucking vinegar, but I didn't smell anything from it, like... It was very, very weird.

What's even weirder was, my sense of taste was not affected at all. That's crazy, since I was always under the impression that smell played a significant part in what food tastes like. That didn't happen to me.

So yeah, once again, COVID is fucking weird.

I lost both taste and smell. There was literally no sense at all. It was super strange. Still felt like I was eating, there was just no taste.

Did it come back at all? Cause I've known people that can't smell or taste months after being clear of it.

It came back after a week or so. At first it was still weak, only slight taste/smell. Now it's back to like 80% of what it used to be.

Today I noticed a couple of things tasted weird or slightly bland, but not everything. Idk if it's just a fluke. I don't have a fever or anything.

Mine simply vanished. I noticed it when I took some pepto bismol and there was no taste whatsoever. That was the night before I got my positive results.

Some people have said their sense of taste was changed for the worse, but not gone. Like to one person water tasted like bad meat.

Like novacaine in your nose. It sucks.

Still can't get the full taste of some things after a month.

Tell myself if I had lost it long-term, I would have killed myself.
