monkmith 12/29/20 8:28:29 AM #3:	it wasn't JUST about slaves... but yeah it was mostly about slaves... i think the one huge disconnect that is sadly under-taught is that the majority of people in the south didn't own slaves, and that the majority of people in the north didn't actually care. the real cause of the civil war wasn't the undying urge of people in the north to end human suffering, it was a mixture of money and politics associated with slavery. --- Taarsidath-an halsaam.
