It's ridiculously easy these days. You literally just put an installer on your memory stick and hit run.

The only real decision is to whether you want permanent CFW vs. launched CFW. If you're looking for ps1 emulation from ps1 rips, you'll need to get popsloader set up. After that just look around for plug ins you find interesting.
Also if you have UMDs I would get UMDGen and play all your games from backups. Way better load times and no loud af UMD. --- <insert sig here> ... Copied to Clipboard!
