Like if I was willing to go to the guys location & he in actuality would attempt to kill me as well at that same moment, how hard would it be to have cops waiting to sting him for an arrest at that very moment and catch him in the act?

he has already killed before. My previous thread a month or so ago was about how a guy was threatening my life in his songs, and how he sampled news clips reporting his victims death on his music.

yeah
social studies class on high school made sense but there werent any classes on serial killer studies. I only know Ted Bundy trivia because a girl I knew was fascinated by him.

but most I know is if a charismatic killer is after you theres only so much one can do

too much evidence too. Which is why in my previous thread titled guy threatening my life in his songs stated that one of his issues with me is I know too much/could name the other people hes involved with that hes paid to shoot and who they shot and who he himself killed and how etc

I had assumed that music artists had leverage when threatening people until after the guy they threatened was actually dead like in the drill rap scene but idk for sure.

the divorced mother of his son knows just as much as I do and she hates his guts. But after he threatened to have her offed for mentioning that he sells drugs she wont even speak against him

How much disposable cash do you have on hand? What is your states open carry law? How often do you leave the house?

i dont have an exact number but money isnt an issue

open carry is prohibited here though (so unloaded concealed/locked when in vehicle/on foot).

and I go out pretty much every other day or daily but my house is most likely his target of interest.

Well if home is the target and you have a good amount of money a nice AR platform would be your best bet. Ammo is hard to come by these days, but if you are willing to pay you wont have an issue.

If you can get a CPL, that would be the best course of action. It would take some time, but its well worth it because you can carry wherever you go. Then invest in a nice CCW like an M&P Shield. They are a great smaller defensive pistol and are at a very fair price point.

If you still want to carry and want something that is more like a service weapon, a newer gen Glock 17 is always a solid option, or go for a VP9.

But if you are in a hurry and just want SOMETHING. A shotgun would be the best bet. A Mossberg 500 or 590 is very affordable, and they are common enough that you can still get them. The biggest benefit is that ammo is still available for 12 gauge almost anywhere you go. Shotguns are not the best home defense item, but they are better than nothing.

For the sake of a hypothetical, it doesnt really matter.

I'd look into pocket knives if legal. There's many options, including one that is folded like a card that is easily stored in pocket.

If this is all for real (it's CE, can never be sure) and the music is available, it seems a decent thing to bring to police and voice concern, especially if he actually has a prior record.
Though I would not give any excuses to piss him off.

Investment in good locks for doors and windows sounds smart.
