The Worst dungeon award goes to The Great Crystal via FF12. Not even on the initial list. It hit the Other category and everyone definitively said "this shit over here stinks more".

Let's see who takes the Best Soundtrack award. And before I get more PMs about what should/should not be on the list, I did omit the soundtracks from ff1-6 as they were not orchestrated at the time of their release.

If for any reason you believe one of the NES/SNES versions of the game has a better soundtrack than the ones coming out on flatter formats, then please vote in the Other Category and state the name of the game. We will of course do a final round if it gets super close between a few options.

Best Minigame: Triple Triad via FF8
Worst Minigame: Dodging Lightning via FF10
Best Gameplay Mechanics: Set classes and (learnable) abilities via FF4/6/9
Worst Protagonist: Vaan via FF12
Best Cid: Cid Highwind via FF7
Worst Dungeon: The Great Crystal via FF12

For the Record, I voted the FF8 soundtrack. Despite all the shortcomings of that specific Final Fantasy, its soundtrack is God-tier.

FF7's soundtrack is killer all the way through -- one of the only superlatives I'd give the game. FF6 and Tactics are pretty close, though.

The diverse nature of FFX makes it the best. FFXIV might actually be up there as well due to its diversity.

The main battle theme in FF10 is actually my favorite standard battle theme in the entire series. Is prayer to zanarkand the one where they're in zanarkand, or is that the opening title theme?

VII and X are my favorites. But if you count all 3 of the XIII games that's up there too. XIII-2 and XIII-3 had some amazing music that unfortunately most people haven't heard.

Tactics is basically the only one I can easily recognize outside of some songs here and there. Maybe IX too, but I loved Tactics music.

at this point xiv because of its massive size, extreme range of genres in it, along with a bunch of cool arrangements from older games

9 > 10 > 7 >> 10-2 = 6 > the rest

But almost all of them have great soundtracks

I know FF7 has a good OST still, but damn. I did not expect the current landslide

8 has some good tracks.
7's only good songs are JENOVA, Anxious Heart, and the slum market theme lol

Everything else is forgettable. In fairness I haven't played FFXII, so I don't know a thing about its soundtrack.

One winged angel is forgettable? I can see not liking it but its easily the most memorable boss theme to me.

Other: VI. It's not the biggest, but probably the most consistently excellent IMO.

But it could be any one of 6-10 really. 4, 5, 13 and 15 are great too, and 12 has its moments. I hear the MMOs have arguably the best soundtracks too.

This is the first one I'm actually mildly butthurt over. The FF8 OST is so damn good. Maybe I am a bit biased.
